The Ballybunion Golf Club founded in the year 1893 is a golf course located within County Kerry, Ireland. In 1906, through the investment of from Colonel Bartholomew, the said golf course was saved, and 9 new holes were immediately created, In the year 1927, the holes were expanded to 18 holes, and in the year 1973, the course was remodeled into a 6,542 yard, with par 71 course. Though its remote location located at the Irish coast has prevented the course from being chosen for many championship events, still the course was selected and visited by a lot of famous golfers one of which is Tom Watson. He visited Ballybunion in 1981 and since then returned frequently to the course. In the year 1995, Tom Watson remodeled Ballybunion into the course which exists today. Luckily, in the year 2005, the course was ranked as the 7^th best course in the globe outside the United States by the Golf Digest.

The course is situated on the Atlantic coastline next to the south side of the Shannon Estuary. The course has huge dunes but without blind spots plus there are no pushover holes.
